In 1979 at the tender age of twenty for the measly sum of $30.00, Madonna Ciccone the future queen of pop agreed to model for photographer Martin H.M. Schreiber for a series of arty black & white life studies at the Parsons School Of Design in New York City. Fresh faced, & far less provocative than today, this was Madonna looking young, innocent & demure. Needless to say, as soon as Madonna became a megastar in the 1980s, these pictures found their way into Playboy Magazine & the rest is history.
In February 2009 one of THE MADONNA NUDES 1979 photo's featuring Madonna sold for $37,500 at the Christie's Auction House. An unnamed European bought the picture, which had been expected to sell for only $15,000. The image had been sold to Playboy in the mid-80s & published in 1985, along with five other nude photos. Those other five sold for $7,170 in 2003.
