HAPPY HOLIDAYS & HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD

*MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE*
While adding our finishing touches for a wonderful festive celebration of a beautiful holiday, I realized that the television playing in the background had nothing but boring reruns. What happened to the holiday specials? One of the TV stations even had a fireplace with logs burning while playing Christmas carols. I remember that sort of programing a couple of decades ago... What happened to the fun joyous specials of yesteryear? Ahhhhhhhh, must be the writers strike! The networks should rerun the fun programs or favorite classic movies of all time.

Will thank goodness for a couple of my dear friends & fellow artist's CHRISTOPHER KLINGLER & CAROLEE CLARK. They have tagged me to share MY FAVE 25 MOVIES OF ALL TIME. Perfect timing because these make great DVD Christmas & New Year stocking stuffer gifts too. AND now with the holiday music playing through our home we also have fabulous movies for everyone.

I could share my top 100 favorite movies but I'll keep to the 25 by only adding my favorite all time classic movies. With all the celebrations, it's like a great big hug from those that cannot be here for the holidays. But most of all it's wonderful memories of sharing laughter & tears with those I love & hold so dear past & present.

Just click your ruby red slippers together three times & say 'There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home'...

The Force is one of the most recognizable elements of the Star Wars series. It is described by Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars film as, "An energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us, penetrates us & binds the galaxy together." Those who can use the Force, such as the Jedi, can perform feats of telepathy, psychokinesis, prescience, clairvoyance & mental control. In addition, they can use the force to amplify certain traits, for example: amplifying their reflexes enough to use a lightsaber to bounce lasers back at the target that fired them. The light side of the Force is the facet aligned with good, benevolence & healing. The dark side of the Force is aligned with fear, hatred, aggression & malevolence.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU, ALWAYS!

AND PLAY IT AGAIN SAM OR SHOULD I SAY SANTA:
BECKY FEDERICO
SUZANNE URBAN
JODI CREAGER

*CHRISTMAS MAGIC*
Christmas waves a magic wand over this world,
AND BEHOLD, everything is softer & more beautiful.

Hi Lyndy,

Great movie list, I was going to put several of yours on mine BUT alas 25...LOL! :)

Your blog looks magickal and is quite delightful. I scaled back on mine so my art stands out. '-)

PS: Thanks for the e-card as well!

Happy Holidays!

Best always,

Hi Carolee, Tom & I hope your Christmas was MAGICKAL too!

You're right, inspiration is very important in every part of life. AND I'm sure like you, I try to inspire someone everyday with kind thoughts & encouragement for their endeavors.

Bright Blessings Always, Lyndy

Hi Chris, thanks for saying my blogsite is MAGICKAL! Like you, I work very hard to make my site fun & not boring. After all, it's a future BILLBOARD for my fantasy black cat art book which will help to promote all the artists in the book too. Everything needs to be relevant, oh you know what I mean. You're a savvy artist & business owner too.

The reason I put so much time into creating such a magickal blog is when the art book gets published it will have a tremendous amount of PR through blogs & links & every & any thing we can think of to PROMOTE & SELL the art book.  Which again, in turn helps to promote all the artists in it.

Like you & your contemporaries do when you auction off another masterpiece, I'll be celebrating the day when I can add my art book link(s) & beautiful photos to my magickal blogsite(s) & website(s)...

Bright Blessings Always, Lyndy

Hi Suzanne, it's fun isn't it? The TAGGING GAMES can be a nuisance but with positive PR rewards. As you know every time you write about a popular subject on your blog it pulls you further up in the search engines.

You're a savvy artist & business owner so I know you think PR is a good thing. It's a great form of encouragement through the ever revolving links.

HAVE FUN...

Bright Blessings Always, Lyndy

Hi Lyndy,

What a nice post and thank you for your kind words.

Your blog is lovely and reflects the magickal vibe of your soon to be released OOAK black cat artbook. I am SO looking forward to the books release...it gives us artists something to look forward to in 2008!

Keep up the great work and hoping 2008 will be a great year for all of us!

Thanks for being YOU and being such a good friend!

Happy New Years!! :)

Best always,
Chris

Hi Chris, I know this time of the year every second of the day's hours are spoken for. Only a few of the kindest souls take the time to pass on their kind words of encouragement & real genuine heartfelt tidings of goodwill.

I also know this 2008 New Year will be a nose to the grindstone year for me. I want my biggest goal completed with the grandest art book of the wonderful artists on the market by Halloween. Not a fly by night book either, a real honest to goodness gorgeous art book just like the art with in it. With ISPN numbers, Library Of Congress indexed as well, available through major book stores & Internet markets. Otherwise it's just another printed photo album or journal, going nowhere & not helping to promote the fabulous OOAK Halloween artists of today.

SO THANK YOU FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP & KINDNESS, you are one in a million for sure!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR WITH LOVE & BLESSINGS OF HEALTH, WEALTH & HAPPINESS, LYNDY

Hi Lyndy!!

Thanks SO much, your post just brightened by day!!! :)

I am so glad to count you as a true friend, AND I always take what you say/we discuss to heart!

Yay & I missed my music too and the ones that don't like it well...LOL '-)

I wish you much luck getting the art book together & am SURE it will be worth the wait!!!

I also wanted to share a lovely note one of my customers said in a Xmas card they sent me...

"Chris, always walk your own path!"

I thought you would enjoy that! '-)

BRIGHTEST NEW YEAR BLESSINGS RIGHT BACK AT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

XOXOXO
Chris

Hi Kim, thanks for brightening my day or should I say blog. You say the nicest things. Your blog looks sweet & magical too!

We are busy working on our my art book's flash website. Soooooooo much to do, it's 24/7 non stop from here on out for that special fantasy Halloween art book. It's finally taking shape & I will link it to my blog(s) so you'll be able to find it easily & see it's transformation as well...

I can't believe the work you have done on your blog, it's wonderful. But I think I need to take a break from mine, NOT (LOL)!!! It's so much work that I'm going cross eyed... Yet I'm obsessed with making my blog a fun & whimsical pass through & link to more fantasy flights & tours. As the TV News & Mass Media say it's the billboards of the future for entrepreneurs.

HAPPY NEW YEAR WITH LOVE & BLESSINGS OF HEALTH, WEALTH & HAPPINESS, LYNDY

Hi Chris, I agree with your friend's observation & I would like to add:
“Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path & leave a trail.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson 1803-1882

When we walk our own path, we create our future & we shape our own world...

Happy New Year, Believe In Magic & Follow Your Heart!

May All Your Dreams Come True With Bright Blessings To You, Lyndy
