Diana, Princess of Wales ~ July 31, 1961 – August 31, 1997 was the first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales, whom she married on July 29, 1981 & member of the British Royal Family. Princess Diana captivated & intrigued the world like few other royals have. Her grace & her Cinderella like rise had a fairy tale charm. She was the ordinary girl who became a princess. AND even amid the turmoil of her unraveling marriage to Prince Charles, which ended in divorce after 15 years, she managed to enthrall us with her style & philanthropy.
I was gardening when my mom with tears in her eyes told me that Princess Diana had perished in a tragic car accident. I couldn't believe it... It's been fifteen years since this horrific accident happened & I still can't believe it. I remember her engagement to Prince Charles & that historical royal wedding with the longest wedding dress train I had ever seen. Hundreds of conspiracy theories later, all we really know is that Princess Diana & all her hopes, dreams & wishes for her family & our planet have perished with her. Fortunately through her children Prince William & Prince Harry & many of her followers, some of Princess Diana's philanthropic endeavors live on.
